Next step is El Paso Leather for this setup

I feel sure that you'll be pleased with El Paso's work, but they may have to have the knife to make the sheath fit right. That's especially true of stag handles, where the thickness varies, and I doubt that they're really all that familiar with Randall knives, anyway.

El Paso Rig

I am going to order the plain brown Threeperson holster, belt and slide bullet loops (12) for it. I will just use the brown Randall sheath, it is very well done. I believe that Randall has been using the same leather maker for many years and he does excellent work.

El Paso will make a very handsome rig for your knife and handgun. I too like the Threepersons holster. Please post a photo when you get your rig.

very cool

I just placed an order for aTom Threeperson holster and belt from El Paso Saddlery for this Model 28 (not as nice as yours). I'm hoping I get it by the end of July.

Greg Gutcher makes Randall sheaths, and he posts on the Randall forum at www.knifeforums.com I believe he uses the board name SHS Holsters or something similar, for Sullivan's Holster Shop in Tampa.

LOTTA good photos of Randall knives on that forum...

Some nifty stuff there - - -

I entered my local shop last Thursday while a friend was selling off a couple of nice revolvers. Sorry to see him need to do so; glad he had some he could spare when he needed the money. I ended up with his EP Saddlery "Tortilla" holster for the four-inch Python he'd just sold off, plus a double speedloader case and two HKS loaders.

I wore my old Colt Three-Fifty-Seven (Pre-Trooper) in the holster the next day. While I would have picked out a more traditional pattern holster if I'd been placing an order, the tortilla holds a hefty revolver in close and makes concealment quite possible, with a sturdy belt. And the materials and workmanship are first-rate.

Best,
Johnny

I also have quite a few El Paso Saddlery holsters and they are all first rate whether for single actions; double actions; or autos.

BTW Johnny I also have some holsters made by a retired Texas Ranger from North Texas you might know. His name is Billy Peterson and he sure made quality stuff. Too bad I lost touch with him.

Texas Ranger Sergeant

He was stationed at Mineral Wells. He retired five or six years ago. I worked with him once, on a manhunt, back in the early '80s.

If you want to get hold of him, send me an e-mail. He's bound to be on the retired rolls and I can probably obtain a phone number for you.

Best,
Johnny
