was looking at c and r guns today trying to figure out what i wanted to add to my small collection...actually its a toss up between a romanian ttc or a nagant revolver but i digress....what is the next big c and r gun going to be....and i mean as far as large numbers of them and low price or is there even any more coming out for us to buy up and talk about how crappy they are for awhile till they are gone then wish we would have bought more at the beginning of it all cause they are worth so much more now and are great guns lol

I could be wrong but I think all of the big runs on C&Rs are done. We are getting to 1962 guns now, most military by then are select fire and were not imported/restored/fetishized as much as military five round bolt actions.

As far as pistols, the Tok TTCs are pretty popular at the moment and the CZ82s seem to be sold out everywhere or nearly everywhere. Not sure if there will be a big new stash of C&R pistols brought onto the market in the near future?

thats kinda what i thought, been racking my brain trying to think what else is out there that was used in ww2 and possbly korea...just couldnt think of anything....shame i sure love these old guns and there history that comes with them....oh well start collecting c and r pistols i guess.

There are still a lot of Mosin-Nagants out there somewhere, and Russian Captures, that could come in to the country, but I think the milsurp imports are just about finished in quantities we have seen.

Problem with ammo? Aside from this recent panic buying episode, I've had no problems buying 9 x 18 Mak and 7.62 x 25. Sportsmans Guide is my go to place. Again, all bets are off during this past month of panic buying , but as of last month I had no probs with those and even the Nagant revolver ammo from Prvi Partisan--all regularly stocked.

True, I meant "affordable" 7.62 x 25...as in the surplus that I bought a Yugo M57 to shoot. I'm going to have to start reloading for it now...

noelf2: sorry about the brain fart, you're right- mak...
I should know...my CZ-82 is my favorite pistol.
