Next 5 purchases...

Well, I just put my money down on a Ruger KMK-678GC target pistol. It is the stainless slabside model. Since I'm a school teacher and married, I have a limited income for firearms purchases. This will probably be the last one for a while. I do still like to window shop and research my next purchase - that's part of the fun. Right now I'm already thinking that maybe I should have waited for the Hammerli Trailside target model to come out, but I think the Ruger is a solid, safe choice.

Anyway what are your next five guns that you would like to purchase (notice that this is somewhat of a hypothetical). For me they are:

1. Thompsen Center Contender with .22 barrel and a .357 Mag barrel. I would like to start reloading and my Makarov is hard to retrieve the cases (it throws them quite a ways).

2. Sig Hammerli Trailside target model - if it proves to be as reliable/accurate as the gun rags are claiming it to be.

3. Ruger Security Six or GP100/S&W/Taurus .357 with a 6" barrel - to shoot more reloads
with.

4. Browning Hi-Power - most likely a clone such as a FEG or Arcus - due to lack of funds. Of course this is a hypothetical.

5. Ruger Bisley .22 or Single Six .22/.22mag

I really like .22's for some reason. They are fun and cheap to shoot. I also have a separate wish list for rifles, but that is another forum. Didn't there used to be a rimfire section on the firingline? Anyway, I would be curious to see other people's wish lists. Maybe I'll even modify mine if I see something I overlooked.

1. S&W Model 41 - I've always like them, plus I have pre-ban 12 rounders from my 2206 that'll fit.
2. Ruger 10/22, add a heavy ported bbl, Volq. trigger/hammer/mag release, McMill. stock.
3. Springfield Armory M1A National Match - Just something to complement my Rem 700VS(.308)
4. HK P7 or Kel Tec P11 - Haven't decided yet.
5. Replica of a flintlock musket used at the battles of Lexington and Concord. - I figure this would be appropiate to use in the unlikely event of a Second Revolution.

Side note: Kinda pathetic that I can boast that I have pre-ban 22LR magazines.

I just ordered the new Hammerli Trailside .22 and two more German Makarovs.

After that -- to make up my 5... 3 more German Makarovs of course!! ;)

SIG 551
Steyr AUG
Steyr FAL
CAR 15
IMI Galil

Pistols
SIG P210
SIG Sauer P229 Sport
Wilson Stealth
Cylinder & Slide HP
H&K P7M8

------------------
So many pistols, so little money.

In no particular order:
CZ 83(9x18 Makarov)
Glock 21
S&W 945
S&W 625 (.45 ACP)
S&W 457 or 3913LS (Can't decide)

Hmm. Something I've been thinking about recently....

1 - S&W 41. I'm tired of using the clubs pistol.

2 - Glock 19, with a few custom touches.

3 - Some kind of 5.56mm semi-auto. I've been looking at an M-96 from Robinson Arms, but a pre-ban Colt AR15 would be nice too.

4 - Some kind of .308 bolt gun, with a Mauser or pre-64 Winchester 70 action. This would be a project gun.

5 - Hmmmm. Dunno. By the time I get the first four, I'll probably figure something out. ;)

Later,
Chris

Rather than list my dream purchases, I've been thinking of the following:

2. S&W 629 Light Comp Hunter Plus 7 1/2" barrel
3. Kimber Gold Match

Hey Robert the41Magfan, Say it ain't so!!!
You with a Taurus; now that's just hard to
believe? If you had told me you ordered a
bazooka; I could kind'a picture that, but
a Taurus? All those other nice toy's will
get their feeling's hurt, I'm sure.

PS: Just kidding of course, Robert.

Ala Dan,

I have said it before and will say it again. Never seen a Smith & Wesson I didn't like. This one happens to come from Brazil. Hey, I'm running out of REAL Smith & Wesson's I want to buy. A 22 Hornet would be awesome out of a revolver. If S&W made one, I would buy in a heartbeat. Smith & Wesson needs a larger, heavier duty frame. Till they make one, I'll buy Taurus

Now, if I can get that auto pistol with that similar cartridge (can't remember the name now), I would change my mind really fast.

Robert
