newbie to Sporting clays/skeet/trap...ETC

This links to a thread I started in the Handloading section...
Bottom line up Front:

I tried shooting some clays and I am hooked......

reference the thread above, when my wife asked me what I wanted for my birthday, I initially said a new shotgun (knowing we can't afford one right now)

shotguns I currently own (both bought after an attempted break-in)

Beretta 1201 FP with rifle sights ) recoil not gas operated, I fell victim to the salesperson at the store due to the circumstances)

mossberg 500 with 20" and 28" barrel

I shot once here, (it was my second time in my life) and actually did better with the beretta but I think it was luck.
here at FT Polk we have a skeet, a trap and a five stand range. I guess first off if there are any shooters that would want to give me some pointers here I would be glad to take them, I think I can get my wife into shotgunning also (just need a very low recoil gun for her because of a shoulder injury) eventually I I'll get the kids into sporting clays also, but I figure Dad needs to get there first...

Thanks for any help you can provide
