NYS shooters beware!!

Effective November 1st, 2000--ALL guns including an old single shot 22 that are sold by a dealer in NYS WILL have a trigger lock installed. Effective immediately---All handguns sold in NYS WILL have a "DNA" casing on record. At this time this means that any dealers that sell handguns that do not already have the casing will have to CARRY (not mail)them to Batavia to have this done. This is about 100 miles from our area. Hay-soose--we are going down little by little!!
 
Thats right, any gun sold or transferred needs to have a lock sold with it; with "lock" being defined by NYS rather strictly. However, the casing thing only applies to new guns. I just got my mailing from the NYSP the other day on this subject.
 
Would this ban include my Thompson Center Hawken flintlock and caplock rifles? They are both .50 cal. (Just a rhetorical question since I would rather eat a bug than move to New York.)
 
Hey, why don't you New Yorkers call Hillary's office and express your malcontentment. As your new Senator, I'm sure she'll welcome your thoughts. NOT!
 
nice 50 BMG...

I drool over this 50 caliber BMG semi-auto rifle every time I visit Buffalo Gun Center. I guess it may not be there much longer. Oh well, I can't afford it now (it's about $7500) and I'm moving to Idaho in 6 months! :) Good Bye PRNYS! They're just going to keep banning firearms until everyone is disarmed.
 
I'm so glad the NY 'Pubbies decided to pass Pataki's wonderful gun control laws this past fall. This will head off anymore gun control law proposals from the anti's........NOT!

I for one am SO glad that those evil .50BMG's will be off the streets. I mean, every week I hear of several drive-bys where the "home boys" pulled their .50BMG "gats" and "busted some caps on those mo-fo's".

I'll sleep better now, knowing that the streets are safer.

Regarding the pistol casing thing in NYS-after some phone calls it is cleared up that this applies to new handguns FOR NOW. They made it clear that their goal is to have this a federal law! Actually we can see their real goal very clearly--mire us down until we just give up and turn em in.
 
No willp58, mire us down till we all have a collective nerve snap. How about a 100 on 1 meeting with these fine reps. If we really work at it and quit being so damn appathetic we could generate far more numbers that the million mom march. Vocal numbers in their face will make a difference. Becides they know what we do for recreation. Has nothing to do with soccer balls.
