New XDs 45 - Is This Normal?

There is a small gap where I can see the recoil spring from the outside when I use a flashlight. I have not seen this before and wanted to know if it's normal with the XDs. Thanks.

I checked mine and with a flashlight I can see the spring, so its either normal or mine is screwed up also. I think they are fine. Mine shoots flawlessly.

I don't believe I've owned a pistol where this was the case....or maybe I haven't paid much attention to them.
 
The item to really worry about is,when you don't see any more 45 Ammo. in your range bag.:eek:

Ok I just looked at my XD-45 and yes, I also can see a small part of the recoil spring.:)

I've seen this with other models from other makes but never noticed with the XDs. it has never created any issues in the other guns I've seen it in. you are likely fine.
