Hi,

Today at the local Walmart I picked up some ammo I have never seen before. It's Winchester USA .38 Special +p 125 gr. JHP. I picked up a few boxes to try out. Looks like real nice ammo. I figured this would be a nice, economical defense round for a Model 19 that I have on the way. Has anyone had experience with this round yet? Thanks!

I just put a few rounds through my Smith & Wesson titanium. Looks like it shoots pretty well. I didn't test it from a bench but it is +P. For roughly ten dollars a box you can't go wrong. I bet they are going to sell a ton of this stuff at that price.

I prefer the .38 Special +P 158 grain lead hollow point for defense. I have seen this ammo sell for $12 to $15 per box.

This new 125 grain +P ammo may be good for simulating the recoil of the 158 grain. I think I will buy a couple of boxes to see how close it is in recoil and point of impact.

It would certainly make the bore clean-up easier!

Thanks for the info.
