New Wilson Combat catalog

I got the new Wilson Combat catalog in the mail yesterday and all I can say is WOW! No, I don't work for them. I don't even own a Wilson pistol. I do use Wilson parts. But, some of the stuff in here is just too surprising not to mention.

Scattergun Technologies Shotgun Division.
When did this happen and how did I miss it? Nice stuff none the less for those of the smooth bore persuasion.

AR style Tactical Rifle Division.
High end rifles aimed at the LE market. Really good stuff here.
They've got a AR compensator for post ban rifles that looks a whole lot like the old birdcage flash hider. $80 installed with 3 week turn around time. I've been thinking about getting an AR and this looks like a real good mod for it.

Carbine Conversion Unit.
Mounts on your 1911 frame and turns it into a light rifle.

Knives, holsters and lots more.

I hate to sound like a commercial, but Wilsons has branched out to serve alot more than just 1911 shooters. This stuff ain't cheap, but what a wish book!

Yup. I don't work for'em, either. How I wish I did. They started publicizing the merge with Scattergun Technologies sometime last year, I've been waiting impatiently ever since. That's one helluva catalog they just put out, and one helluva service they provide to shooters. Hope they are around for a long time.

All,

I have to agree that Wilson's diversification is a good thing. I don't own any Wilson anything, but I think he is showing some real courage expanding his role in the firearms world instead of shrinking out of it as appears to be the case with S&W, Colt, Sig, H&K, etc., etc.

I think if we find his products to be up to par and fitting to our needs we should drop a little extra cash and buy his stuff rather than continuing our support of these wishy washy here today, possibly gone tommorrow big name manufacturers.

I think Mr. Wilson knows exactly what he's doing and how he can capitalize on current events and the actions of his big brother peers. Way to go Mr. Wilson.

I found out about the Wilson acquiring Scattergun Technologies at the 1999 IDPA National. The Wilson's display booth had several shotguns for people to check out. I also got to shoot the carbine conversion unit. My buddy bought one and installed it on his Wilson Protector pistol. It's pretty fun to shoot, like shooting a .22. There's absolutely no recoil, but the hollow tube stock made a "boingy" sound when the gun is shot. I've used various Wilson's parts since 1985, and always been pleased with the quality and service. Recently the floor plate on my original Wilson magazine that I bought in 1985 broke, after a quick phone call they sent me a new follower, spring, and floor plate at no cost. I highly recommend their products.
