New Uberti 1860 Navy frame screws

Just received a new Uberti 1860 Navy (.44) today and have a question...being a noob with black powder...

The frame has four screws. The large screw has a screw head on both sides of the frame and they stick out a lot. It seems to be a big screw head on both sides of the frame.

Is this the current design? I have not tried to turn them yet...even to see if they are tight.

Last, the trigger pull is almost like a hair trigger...this is the second Uberti I've seen like this and they have not been modified. This is much different than my Piettas which has a much heavier trigger pull.

Hello, Bigminnow. Those large headed screws on both sides of frame were designed for a detatchable shoulder stock.

I would have never thought of that...so I reckon the Uberti 1860 Navy come ready for a shoulder stock even if you didn't request it...on option was given when ordering so I guess that's the way it is.
