New type of Carry?

Here in So Cal, I noticed that a lot of guys are carrying all kinds of bags now.(Okay, you guys..now is the time to harpoon me... :eek:, :eek:, Get all the jokes out about us California folks.)
Seriously,quite a few backpacks and other types of bags. But I saw one with a wide shoulder strap for comfort and looked like a wineskin bag because it was slung under the arm and if set up right could be a horizontal type of shoulder holster. Sort of like carrying a fanny pack slung on your shoulder but set up for a horizontal draw. I'm always looking for alternate methods of carry because everybody seems to be looking for discreet carry in hot weather (no jacket) and it shouldn't look like a carry rig.

Please keep your eyes peeled for this kind of bag. I'd appreciate any info.
 
I was just in my local luggage shop and they had some of the bags you are describing. "One arm backpacks" is how the guy described them.
 
I think what you're describing is a courier bag that you see alot of urban bike messengers and kids wearing. I think it's a good alternative for off-body carry. I saw quite a few options for these at www.ebags.com Just do a search in the urban section and you'll find plenty. REI also carries quite a few of these, www.rei.com
