I just got me a 10/22 for my christmas present to myself, its a 10/22 LVT stainless, i wanted to get some input on scope options, its gonna be a split 50/50 plinking/target shooting and hunting gun(squirrel/rabbit/woods gun), i was thinking a Adjustable objective 3x9x40 scope, please give brand suggestions, money is not really and option(under $500) also note that its gun spend alot of time riding in trucks so durability and zero hold is very important. And advise would be great. Thanks Brent

I just put Simmons 3x9x40 on my ruger 10/22 stainless. i stopped thing in terms of brand names and started thinking in terms of how good the optics work for me. And honestly I prefer most of my optics over Leapold.
Now Swakorski is another world.
Buy what works best for you and your budget as long as the optic suits you and your uses.

I have a Bushnell Sportsman 3x9 x 40 under 60.00 that I picked up from Walmart in the blister pack. Its sharp clear and for the low dollars it cost worth it I have on a 10/22 heavy barrell. Also picked up Weaver rings at Walmart. Cost was less than any sporting goods store around.
