New to the forums: help identifying ugly revolver?

Howdy,
This is my first firearms forum; I belong to several motorcycle boards. I have 40+ guns including several vintage percussion Colts.

Anyhoo, I wondered if you could help me out with identifying the revolver in this pic... I know the semi-auto is a S&W model 41 (right?)... and I know I've seen something like the ugly revolver pictured, but I can't put my finger on it. I remember seeing it about 15 years ago, and if I remember correctly, it was a one-gun manufacturer that has since (mercifully) gone out of business. Any help would be appreciated. Also, what other gun forums do you belong to? What are some good ones?
Thanks,
1K

Appears to be ...

Century M100 45-70 Govt . Utilizes a bronze frame . Made in Indiana back in the mid to late 1980's . We sold 5 or 6 if memory serves me . Had a used one come in about a year ago . It sold quick .

I believe that is it. Thank you!!! I remembered it was a .45-70 but googled it and only came up with the Magnum Industries BFR.

Know where I can find a pic?

Thanks again!

Found this one, FYI:

Well, it sure looks like on of those bronze-frame cannons, all right, but the cylinder's a little short for .45-70. Eh, artistic license. I say go with it.

As for other forums, I suggest you take a look at TFL's sister sight, The High Road.

If you like it here, you'll like it there.

By the way, Welcome to The Firing Line! A more well-mannered, informative forum you will not find, and The High Road upholds the same standards.

I had the opportunity to shoot one of these a couple of years ago at the range. It was so heavy you didn't have to be concerned about recoil - if you could hold it up, you could shoot it. :)
