Dear Fellow Handgunners;
I need some constructive input here! I am new to the 45acp., and have wanted to get an entry level pistol. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on this exploratory venture, so I purchased a Llama Max-1 Government model. Yeah.....I know, some of you think as far as 1911 type pistols go, this one makes a great boat anchor!! I have read quite a lot of feed back on this gun and understand about the "soft steel" and roughly machined parts. I've had a friend look at it who has considerable experience with 1911's and is a competition shooter. His take on the fit and finish was "not bad for the money". I plan on putting a few hundred rounds thru it and see how it breaks in before I make any modifications on it. Any constructive criticism will be greatly appreciated.
