I just traded a Glock 21 with a few accessories for a Super Redhawk .44, 7 1/2 barrel, with a Burris 2X scope mounted on top.
I checked the cylinder play when the trigger was held down, and there is only a little side-to-side wiggling (not much at all, compared to the other guns I was looking at at the gun show). I don't believe there is any front-to-back play. The gap between the cylinder and barrel is very, very tiny too. Can't see it without holding it up to a light.
It was pretty dirty, so I cleaned the outside of it pretty well, but haven't done a dissasembly yet. I couldn't wait to go shoot it today and didn't have time yesterday.
Anything I should look for before I bang away with this guy? Everything seems pretty smooth so far. I bought some specials and some magnums to play with.
How decent are Burris scopes? (I don't know anything about scopes).
Thanks all, this should make a fun addition to my small but growing collection.
