New to me Manurhin Walther PPK/S

I picked up a very nice PPK/S in 380 acp, made by Manurhin in France. It has very little wear and runs smooth as silk. I put 100 rounds through it and it performed perfectly. These are nice little guns with some history. It would make a nice little back up gun.

I'm interested in others thoughts and experiences with these guns.

Take care,
Major

!!!!!!!

I have a SmithWalther, but DREAM of a Manurhin!

GREAT find! Congrats!!

The PPK/s is an iconic and stone-cold sexy pistol, rivaled only by the Sig 232.

We need pix!!

The MANHURIN ... Dang I wish. I have an Interarms PPK/s here; from 1995, but would love to have a Manny!

Heavy for a low cap .380? Yes. Accurate? Oh yeah. Oozing with class? Definitely.

Yes the Manhurin is a very quality piece, mine is a PP in 7.65 cal and very easy to shoot. Manhurin made pistols under contract after the war and even made them for Walther until the new plant took over, quality is as good as the German pistols. My pre war PPK (7.65mm) is in immaculate condition but finished no better than the French pistol.

I'm going to upload some photos in a day or so. I also own an Interarms PPK in 380 acp, made in the USA in Stainless Steel and it's a nice gun, but the Manurhin in Blued is just sooo classy.

I own a German .380 PPK/S and a .22 PPK/S. Lovely pistols IMHO. I would never carry my PPK/S as my primary sidearm, or backup these days. I own a Kahr PM9 that fills the roll of a sub compact carry piece/backup pistol. Before the Kahr I carried a Colt Mustang instead of my Walthers. It's not that I didn't trust my PPK/S it's just that it's in such pristine shape I don't want to mar the finish. I do take them both out to the range occasionally to shoot. They are a lot of fun and conversation starters.

I have a Interarms Ranger made SS Made 1984 on hip at present . Next to a 1911 one of my favorite small carry pistols . I keep loaded with Corbon or Buffalo Bore JHP.

My local ffl had one in new condition with 2 mags and original box that he offered to me for $390.00 out the door. Guess I should have bought it. Oh well.

They do have another that looks interesting in almost new condition that is a .380 as well but is a Mausser I believe.

Anyway, congrats on your purchase.

My Ranger made .380 PPK/S was a jam-o-matic, with several different mags.

On the other hand, my Manurhin made PPK/S .22 lr is an absolute sweetheart.

Viper, make sure the Mauser HSC works if you buy it, a lot of the post war's had FTF/

I couldn't remember the model and it 8is the HSC. Thanks for the heads up
