New to guns and a FEG P9R

As the titles suggests, I am really new to guns. Began my interest last fall when my brother gave me my father's P-08 German Luger. It had problems like firing pin and trigger spring. But when it was fixed I joined a local gun club and had great fun with it. I just purchased a used FEG P9R from the gunsmith who worked on the Luger because I decided to take the Concealed Handgun course. Actually I wanted to just learn about guns, safety, and the laws about guns, but I'm committed to taking the course now. Yesterday, I went for a shoot with the FEG and somewhere during the shoot, maybe 30 rounds, or so, the trigger pin dropped out. I spent an hour looking for it until the range was needed by a class. Where can I get parts for this gun?

It may or may not be a clone of the HiPower.
The PJK-9HP I have is a HP clone
A P9R I have seen is a DA. Another owner reports that his P9R seems to be a S&W 59 clone. So, FEG model numbers do sometimes cover several differing guns.

Current importer of FEG is:
K.B.I., Inc.
3405 N. 6th Street
Harrisburg, PA 17110-0440

(717) 540-4645

Again, I have also read reports of Century importing some models.
Who is the importer? Is it single or double action? Is the safety on the slide or the frame?

I had one

Very accurate. The P9R is a double action cross between the S&W 59 series and the High Power. Your gunsmith should have replacement pin or be able to make one. Removal of the mag safety is said to improve the trigger pull.

Good luck.

My P9R

My FEG P9R is the double action with the safety on the slide. The exploaded pictures I've seen of both the Browning Hi-Power and the S&W 59 show a trigger pin that has the groove for the plunger and spring in the middle of the pin. Mine had the groove near the end of the pin. My gunsmith will probably make the pin, but the trigger pin plunger and the trigger pin spring may be something else. Thanks for the responses
