Hello I'd like to let everyone that this site has helped me a lot in deciding my last handgun purchase. I picked up my single six with the 9.5 inch barrel yesterday. All the positive I've read about the gun so far have been true most of the negative ones so far has been false about this gun. It is very tight, the fit and finish are excellent the hammer is not stiff at all it's very nice to pull back not gritty at all. I was prepared to do the poor boys trigger job until I ordered a spring kit but none of that seems to be needed yet there is no creep at all that I can tell Its very crisp not what I was expecting at all so I'm very happy so far. It does have the heavy barrel but does not seem to be front heavy at all I'm very happy with how it balances in my hands, I'm used to swinging a 10 pound sledge hammer all day so this little gun feels very nice not heavy at all. I did buy a set of one hole sights after 16 years of shooting m16s and being a pretty darn good shoot with them I figured I'd give them a try. I'm going to the range today after church I'll let y'all know how she shoots I'm sure it will shoot excelent. Just wanted to thank everyone on here for your input and all your knowledge it has helped me a lot. Thank you

Sounds like you made an excellent choice, but then again, you can tell by the forum name I use that I'm obviously a Ruger man. I hope you enjoy that Single Six, and the best way to do that is to shoot the snot out of it.;) Oh, yeah, and welcome to TFL!

Congrats on a good choice,The single-six is a great little gun.I use the same 9.5 22mag version as a boat gun.THe more you use it the smoother it will be.

Let us know how it does at the range. Pretty sure you'll be pleased & welcome to TFL.

Thanks y'all shot almost a whole brick of golden bullets through it yesterday not sure I like the peep sights I shot better with the factory ones. It shot great deffinatly where u aim it it shots better than I do. I was hitting a 16 ounce pop bottle at about 75 yards with. It's an Awsome gun and had a blast shooting it, although the best shot of the day goes to my 11 year old son who shot a whip cream can at about 100 yards with a 80 dollar Rossi single shot while all the adults were reloading lol it was Awsome guess he got tired of watching us try to hit it lol. Anyway can't wait to get to the range again. Y'all have a great memorial day god bless.

Me too...

I've learned a ton on this sight over the years. Would you take $150.00 for that single six?

Learned that here too. Rarely works.
