New TC Dimension

I just don't see the need to change barrels especially when the barrels probably cost almost as much as the complete rifle. Also if you consider the time and cost to rezero the scope per change. ( yea I know they probably guarantee it will be with in 1 MOA of the previous change, but do you want to bet the buck of a lifetime on that) I just don't get it, but hey that's just me.

IMO this set up will create interest to start with, then fade out. We'll see a few in gun shops and gun shows to start I am sure. However it will be interesting to see how much dust collects on them before their sold. I remember the Dan Wesson intershangeable barrel sets ts of interest, with few sales.
Just not my cup of tea I guess, I had the T/C Pro Hunter with several barrels each time I changed barrels I had to resight the thing back in.

Warbird did you get your 300 back yet?

I think the cost of the "parts" will dictate if this flys or not. The European gun makers are going to the switchable barrels big time.

"The European gun makers are going to the switchable barrels big time."

If I understand correctly, this is due to restrictions in Europe regarding multiple gun ownership, making owning multiples quite expensive. Switchable barrels are a countermeasure there, but it also is expensive (albeit not as much so as purchasing a new rifle and paying the fees for it). Furthermore, I understand the new barrels are only made by the original manufacturer, which makes the owner totally dependent on the manufacturer. (I think I read this in a gun mag review of a Blaser rifle--not sure).

I think our current firearms culture (especially many of us on this forum) prides multiple gun ownership too much for switchable barrels to make significant inroads into US markets. I could be wrong, though...and of course wish T/C all the best. Doubt I'll be purchasing one, though.
