Bersa cost

Tim,
I've seen Bersa Thunder .380 ACP's going for around $180 - $200 depending on location, matte or duo-tone finish, etc.

I've had one for 2 yrs. It's performed flawlessly despite my poor maintenance (it was my first gun and I didn't know much about upkeep).

It has consumed anything I've fed thru it and didn't really even know that pistols sometimes had FTF or FTE right-outa-the-box.

I would recommend this one highly. It has resumed the role of primary carry in my PagerPal since my Kel-Tec P-11 has started having some FTF problems of late. That will most likely change when my Glock G26 arrives (been on order for three weeks!!!)

I'm in SE Alabama, a local has a Bersa Thunder 380 in two tone for $219 ticketed price. I can probably be had for $190 to $200. Just infor for pricing.

Bersa's sell locally for around 140.00 $..but are going up. I would bet a snubby 357...same weight as a 38 but more of that wonderful energy. Just my opinion......

Shoot well

My buddy has the 2 tone bersa. It is very reliable and has good accuracy. The trigger is smooth and not too heavy. Good little gun. Mark

Don't know much about he Bersa. They run around $190 here. I have heard reviews from flawless function to junk. I have a Beretta Tomcat in stainless. It's the newer wide body version. I like it. Dependable and I like the tip up barrell. Alot of people don't like them on this board. You may want to run a search. I think most of the problems were with the older models. Like I said, mine has been a champ. Never a FTF. If you really want to go for broke, get a Kahr MK9 or MK40. These are awesome guns but a little pricey compared to the others you mentioned. I think well worth the extra $$. Amortize that extra $150 or $200 over 10 to 20 years and it's not much. The Kahr's will last that long.
Good luck on you search.

Tim,
I feel your pain. ;) My loving wife confiscated my Glock 26. Thus causing me to embark on the same journey. I finally settled on the Glock 36. The slimline package makes for easy concealment. If you are bent on carrying a mouse gun like the Bersa, then why don't you consider the Makarov. I hear that they are starting to become available again. The 9x18mm cartridge is better than the 9mm Kurz and the gun is dead on reliable!!!! The Glock of the old Eastern Bloc!!!! ;)

Why not get another .38 snubbie?

1. You already know it works for you.

2. There are advantages to standardization between you and your partner.
