Recently I decided I wanted to give my 870 express synthetic a facelift from it's factory condition.I know what kind of look im going for and have all the
parts set up in my head, but im not sure about my stock choice.

I really would like the Hogue stock and forend pakage, but i'v read that
there's some fitting issue's.This worrys me because this particular stock
set would be dead sexy for the setup i have in mind, but I want fit and function too.

Speaking of fit,the factory 870 stock is too long for me and is another reason why I want to change it out.How are the Hogue's in terms of LOP?

Also, they do have a sling mount right?I'v seen some pictures and cant see
a mount of any kind.

And finaly,I would also like to hear your opinion on the Speed Feed stock's
as im looking into those if the Houge plan falls through.

Thanks for all help.

For our 870 Xpress, Hogue offers both standard 14" LOP and 12" LOP (youth stock).

I have the 12" and love it. Perfect fit to my gun (870 Xpress Syn, 18" 6+1). absolutely no fitment issue.

And yes, Hogue stock comes with a sling stud, too.

I have not snapped any pic of my gun yet, let me know if you need some .. but will be this weekend at the earliest...

I bought the Hogue package but I only install the stock, the Hogue forend is available for those interested.

I have the speedfeed I stock and forend that came with my tactical 870. I like both. I also have the hogue forend and I like that as well. I currently have the hogue forend on my 870 but I switch them out regularly. I usually use the hogue forend when I'm hunting, and the speedfeed when I'm not.

i have a boyds black laminate thumbhole stockset on my 870 set up with a peep site for slug season....i didnt think it was possible to make an express look good but hey i've been wrong before:D
