New stock and barrel for Winchester Mod 50?

I have been given my fiance's deceased father's Winchester Mod 50 and would like to convert it for use for my fiance as she has expressed an interest in hunting ducks and upland birds with me. The stock and barrel length are great for me, but she is much shorter than I. (She is 5'4" with short arms.) What would I need to do to have it fit her better?

Is the stock easy to replace? Can the barrel be changed as easily as the barrel on my 870? I do not have a manual for the firearm but could certainly download it from the manufacturer's website. Though we could always buy a youth model shotgun for her, I thought that trying to get her dad's gun to work for her would be the best thing to do with it.

I'm not familiar with this shotgun and have never fired it but know that it functions without any issues. Any thoughts would be welcome.

Your only options on parts for a Model 50 would be to find them on gunbroker or ebay (stock, no barrels on ebay anymore) If I remember correctly the barrel on a 50 is fairly hefty so another option would be to have a smith install chokes tubes and cut the stock. This would de-value the gun but the model 50 even in excellent cond. dosn't fetch a whole lot.

Thanks for the reply. This is the same advice given to me by some other gun-shop employees. I think I may keep the Winchester for myself and buy her a nice 20 ga.

Take care -
