New Smith & Wesson frame size

On a number of forums mention has been made of a new S&W frame size to to handle a .50 cal cartridge that Corbon is working on. Supposedly they are spending $2m to develop this. Does anyone know if this is fact or fiction or any particulars on the gun?

Hmmm...if S&W develops a new revolver capable of shooting a .50 caliber round and if they were to chamber it in 44 Magnum, maybe it would solve the durability problems of the model 29. But, until then, I will continue to shoot my Ruger Super Redhawk.

I was thinking of a J frame titanium. Maybe a 350 grain swc at 1200 fps. I dont think recoil would be a problem, do you?
