Remember a couple months ago, when someone mentioned that a NEW show would air this fall? You know, based on a REVOLUTION in Amerika?

Well, it debuts TONIGHT, 8 p.m. (7 central) on Fox.

BE THERE!

NOTE: Mikul says it's on UPN, so it'll be one or the other I s'pose.

Not in my area, apparently (Washington, DC).

Smith & Wesson is dead to me.

If you want a Smith & Wesson, buy USED!

It's suppossed to be a Matrix-style martial arts show starring two of my favorite actors - Lance Hendrikson (Bishop from Aliens, also starred in Millenium, and a couple other great shows / movies) and James Morrison (Space: Above and Beyond - HOOYAH!, also some appearances in Xfiles, Millenium, Prey, several other movies / shows).

quote:
An escalating series of events - an out-of-control military action in a faraway land; a disastrous plunge in the stock market crumbling the nation's economy; and the tragic - perhaps deliberate - death of an honored President have led to totalitarian rule.
Now a team of four highly trained rebels - fighting machines whose razor-edged bodies and defiant spirits are ultimate weapons - have escaped from the would-be dictator's dungeons.

They will strike from nowhere and everywhere, destroying like wrathful gods, until the America they knew is restored.

SERIES PREMIERE October 27
When the freedom of the American people is wiped out by a presidential assassination and military coup, four razor-sharp inmates of a maximum security prison become aware of their power to resist -and so does a hard nosed U.S. General who springs the four, and has them work on a rescue of his own kidnapped wife and daughters.[/quote]

Should be cool - much cooler than Level 9

Bob--- Age and deceit will overcome youth and speed.
I'm old and deceitful.

We had visitors during, so I couldn't follow the show. It seemed a bit disjointed to me. Any thoughts from you guys?

Oh, and one thing jumped out at me right at the beginning of the show...

"William Jefferson Clinton Federal Prison"

BWAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!!!!!!

Watched it. I'm kind of undecided. Yes the story sounds cool, but man I wish they would stop with the never-ending rave music. Who the hell put together the soundtrack?

And the flying around during the fight scenes was a bit much. Yes it was cool in the Matrix, but the super high jumping flipping kicking stuff has got to go.

It does have potential, I'll have to watch it again before I make any harsh judgements. Heck I didn't like Babylon 5 the first time I saw it and now I'm addicted. :)

In the past, shows such as RED DAWN, V, WAR OF THE WORLDS, and others, had "regular folks" as the heroic figures. So I guess I'm a little dissapointed that the "heros" in FREEDOM are "elite". :(

Stupid show. Yeah, I watched it.
Stupid enough to run a full season.
Just below such classics as:
The New People.
The Motefuscos.(sp)
The Immortal.
Paula Poundstone.

(In case these shows aren't familiar, they were 1 or 2 (s)hit wonders. The New People ran 4(?) episodes, then was cancelled. The Montefuscos was cancelled at the first commercial break-the original show never finished it's debut airing. The Immortal was a pilot for a series, the series was cancelled, but the pilot was aired. An finally, Paula Poundstone. Much to-do and fanfare, then the original show was cancelled before it hit the air.)

Flying jumping sweat girl doesn't jiggle enough to keep this early Thanksgiving Turkey flying. About 30 seconds into it, when the good black guy called the bad black guy "My Brother", you knew where this clunk was heading. The sterotypes fly more than the, ahem, actors. I've seen better martial arts show on Dubai.
