I just bought a CZ Canvasback 12ga.
I swear I only went in to LOOK, and suddenly the guy was handing me a post it with a price on it and I heard my self say yes and that was that. :o But I think I got it for a good price, 700.00 out the door. MSRP is about 690 ish and I'm in california so there are extra costs.
Now I just have to wait 10 days to pick it up. :D

you guys pay more for a gun than MSRP? its usally considerably less than that here in MN. i recently bought a savage 16FXP3 that is listed at $601.00 for a hair over $400 out the door. Not a shotty but just my latest example.

It was less, but with tax and the "you bought a gun in california so you have to pay the gov. 30 bucks" fee, it got back up to the MSRP

Congrats Diggers,

Now get to the range and bust some clays with it and let us know all about it, fit, finish, and mechanical features. If I'm not mistaken, the Canvasback is the O/U shotgun, right?

Diggers, you did yourself well.
The CZ is the sporting and field over/under manufactured by, and in, Huglu, Turkey.
De Hahn owns the rights to the trap and skeet models.
I own one of the trap models and could not be happier.
Your timing was right, also. I beleive they will go up in price considerably. Most of the guys at my club thought the gun was made of stamped metal and was junk. After they saw, felt, and fired mine, they are singing a very different tune. I have now seen 2 or 3 around the club. As word spreads about the comparative value of these guns, they will be more in demand and the prices will go up.

I am in California also. Most prices are discounted 10-20% off msrp, but you have at least 7.75% sales tax, higher in many counties, plus the associated fees.

Glad to hear you like yours. I get to pick mine up in 7 days and counting :D Yeah mine was about 10% off MSRP, but the tax and fees here in San Diego kill that quick.
I saw a redhead 28 gauge in a different store that was only 10 bucks less than the MSRP!!! The sales guy was talking it up big time, guess he kinda had to at that price.

congratulations on the buy. Man, that is terrible having to wait 10 days! i guess it is better than not being able to get it at all.

Happy and safe shooting!!
