New shield .45

So I was able to find the new shield .45 and couldn't pass it up:D. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but first impressions:

1. Barely bigger then my shield 9mm...which is nice because that's been my primary carry gun for a couple years now.

2. The stippling on the grip is nice and gritty. It feels really good holding it in my hand. I'm hoping the stippling will help with recoil since it's barely bigger then my 9mm.

3. Mag capacity is 6&7+1 rounds.

4. Loading magazines- HOLY GEEZ  started struggling after 3 rounds but I'm too prideful to give up so although it cost me a blister on my thumb I was able to get both mags fully loaded....hopefully that will loosen up:(

5. Trigger feels pretty good actually...a little bit of take up but a crisp break and an audible reset

As a pretty big fan of the shield I'm pretty excited about getting my hands on one and can't wait to get some range time with it.

I have held one and it felt nice and the trigger was nice, but I want to try one first before I consider buying.

I'm pretty happy with my new PPS M2, also 6&7(&8)+1 but 9mm. And I don't even like loading those mags. There really is no shame in using an Uplula. ;)

UPDATE

Well got to take it to the range today and I am impressed!! The gun felt really good in hand. I think the rougher stippling definitely helped. The trigger is actually pretty darn good..The recoil wasn't bad at all for such a small .45...I had 0 issues with it functioning. In regards to the magazines being hard to load, they got easier as the day went on. The last round is still kinda hard but it's manageable..

Overall this gun is awesome and will be replacing my shield 9mm as my primary carry gun. Anyone interested in the new shield .45 I highly recommend it.

Everytime I think i'm close to buying a M&P 45 shield they have sold them and don't have anymore in stock.Just happen to me over the weekend down at Fort Knox.

I really enjoy my shield 45, I did get the uplula loader though. Too much spring for these old hands...Loaded up a hundred rounds of 200 gr swc but have not got to shoot any of them yet..:D
