I know there are not many Ak fans over here but I am as proud as a puppy with two peters. Here is a pic of my new baby. SAR 1 AK in 7.63 X 39

I have some more to do but it is about 80 finished. Dern this is fun.
 
I'm sorry, but I think your rifle has major identity problems! Let's see...

Polymer handguard with forward pistol grip, ventilated gas tube cover (OK so far), then a HK-style pistol grip (huh???), and the most offensive... wooden butt stock! Are you trying to make a fashion statement or do you need lessons on style and coordination. Just a little ribbin'

Nice rifle, but stick to one motif! ;) Personally, I would have gone with all-wood, and maybe with red polymer pistol grip.

But hey, it's your rifle. Don't give a f*ck what I think.

How did you do yhe forward pistol grip,does it really provide an increase in utility?
 
The forward grip is easy with the sheet metal AMD type forend. All you need is a grip, grip bolt, and grip nut. Hole is already there.
Yes it does really help in controling the rifle during rapid fire situations. Plus once it is one there you wonder how you did without it.This forend was found on the AMD-63

The AMD-65 was issue for Tank Corps/Special Forces and the AMD-63 was a standard issue AK varient. Both are Hungarian rifles.
