Anybody read much about the new "Ruger Super Blackhawk Alaska"? Very much interested in the .454 casull. Could be a potent weapon for self defense.

Sounds like I'm gonna get in line to pick up one of these. We don't have any Bears here where I live,but in case some mean "hombre" want's to try his luck I'm sure this will make him set up and listen.

Yeah definatley, I think the Alaskan would make a superb home defense gun loaded with 6 round of 200gr Gold Dot 45LC. They should make a flat black one with night sights and call it the Nighthawk!
