New Ruger Synthetic Stocks

Flashman

They have been around for 6 months now. Has anyone tried or purchased one? They seem very stable and the forearm is quite inflexible. I am wondering how they shoot compared to the ugly paddle stocks. I ask because although my paddle stock is an excellent platform for the barrelled action, it is ugly, and I am considering ordering a stock from Ruger. Any thoughts?

We have had two Rugers with the new stocks in our store for a month now. Lots of looks no takers yet.

When we got them in I predicted that people would want the guns with the old stocks.

Guess what? I was right. After all the bi@&%$ng. Everyone that has looked at them wants the old stock design. Not because they do not feel good or shoulder well either. They are very good feeling solid stocks. We'll see what happens next. The Deer Classic show will be in Nashville in August. That is when our major buying season starts.

Cheers,
