New Ruger P95 Impressions

Picked it up also yesterday and went to the range today. This is my second P95 and these guns continue to amaze me. Put about 90rds of 124gr FMJ and JHP+P thru it. Had one failure to chamber on the second mag and about 3 times the slide wouldn't lock open after the last round but this was due to my lite range ammo. Accuracy was very good! More accurate than my other P95 or my 3 9mm Glocks. These guns are one of the best kept secrets along with Maks.Well I will be out of town next week and away from a computer but I will be checking in on friday to catch up. Everyone have a great week and remember even CNN says Bush is up by 5 points. Things are looking up!

My P90 in .45 will outshoot the .40 glock I used to have anyday. I love it and NO it's not for sale. LOL Ruger is definitely on a roll with these good auto's I may have to buy the polymer one soon too!

I took my P95 to the range this weekend too.
Yup, it will still out shoot my glocks!!
I am breaking in a new holster for it too. :)

Might as well add my impressions of my new P90TH. 200 rounds out of the box, no jams, no other problems at all.

Me too! Got my high school teacher son a P95 and liked it so well that I got one for "dear old dad" (me). Other than a couple of "stove-pipes" when my limp-wristed 80 year-old mother tried it, no jams in over 1,000 rounds (mixed brands), even with some USA mags. Puts the bullets right where you point it.

I luv it.

You will not find a finer gun for the money. Except for the P97.

I don't want to rub it in but I must say that I love my P97 and it is very accurate but so was the P90 before it. I sold the P90 to get a Beretta 92FS and I made a mistake.

I bought my P90TH about a year ago and I love it. I've only had one problem with it and that was due to some really crappy reloads. It is accurate, built like a tank and its down right beautiful compared to a glock. I can't see myself ever parting with it, except to give to a child someday.

Our P95 works great. Never a malf and it hits what it's aimed at if you do your part. CDNN had blued USA Mag hi-caps on sale for $10 each, compare that to the $80 - $120 some people want for other brand's hi-caps. I now have two sets of three 15 round mags, one set loaded and the other resting. If 45 rounds of 124gr Gold Dots won't solve the problem, I'm in deeeeeeeep doody.

I'm having fiber optic sights put on it right now, should make it an even better shooter. (Anybody know where I can get a smiley with a three-dot sight picture centered on him?)

The P95 is no doubt one of the best values around. A local shop's web page at http://rweidig-gunsmith.freeyellow.com/ lists them NIB w/all accessories for $294, choice of DA/DC or DAO. That's about what we gave for ours. How can you beat that? Competing brands of hi cap 9mms (Beretta, SIG, Glock) were all hundreds more. We couldn't see paying the difference.

I really like my P-95 SS DC. All it does is work correctly and shoot to point of aim. Standard capacity mags are easy to obtain too. The best part is the price. SamC

Have a Ruger P95DC fired over 500 115 grain JHP reloads and not one problem. Good Luck
