NEW Ruger CHARGER takedown?

Anyone got one yet? I was really getting interested in the Charger a while back. Then proof, it was gone! Now it's back, improved, and even more interesting in a takedown version. My only, and minor regret is they don't offer it in astainless/synthetic version.
One thing I am wondering of anybody that has one. Is there room in the included hard case for optics? Can the interior of the case be modified to hold a pistol scope with QD rings?
The soft case that came with my 10-22 takedown rifle has plenty of room for the Simmons 22-MAG scope in the QD rings I use to mount it. The combination is very accurate, and the zero remains perfect with takedown, removal of the scope, and reassembly.
Thinking a Charger takedown with a Simmons Pro-Hunter Handgun scope would be a fun accompaniment for my 10-22.:D

Actually there is a stainless take down... it's a distributor exclusive and just came out.

A small optic could fit in the factory hard case, but it doesn't get high marks for quality as a case.

are you sure? Ruger still only lists the two basic models. I don't mind chargers but I don't exactly know what ruger was thinking with the fancy laminate stocks but with AR15 pistolgrips attached. I don't mind plastic and I love forest laminate but the two just don't mix in my opinion.

Yes, the stock has been a hesitation point for me. I don't mind the AR grip, but it does belong on a black synthetic stock. I don't really care for the camo look wood laminate stock, but the AR grip makes it worse.

Not a bad Price. $399 on GB for stainless take down however I agree on the factory stock. A must to replace if one buys one.

Picked one up at a local gun show for around $320. The factory case foam could be modified to fit a scope. Found a soft case that better suits my needs. Grand Kids love shooting it. I like the idea of an AR grip, gives you a lot more choice should you change it.

Still love the look of Rembrandt's rig. You could make a great CCW out of just the back half. Wouldn't even have to fire it. When the BG sees that come out of your IWB, he'll be running the other way..:D

or you could made a Cohort as I did...not cheap but neat. ALL Tactical Innovations My Lego gun. It was a fun build.:)

I've got a first gen Charger. Shortened and threaded the barrel to run a can on it occasionally. Shoots the same at 50 yds as my 10-22 carbine. Love it.

Ruger lists the guns they catalog and distribute
They don't list special order variations available only through one source
actually yes they do, they list them as distributor exclusives. the 10/22 has a massive distributor exclusive section an the entire NO1 line is now exclusively distributed by lipseys.
