New Ruger automatics???

I heard somewhere that Ruger is working on a new Semi Automatic pistol. Something that will be closer to a Glock or HK. Has anyone heard anything on this?? I just can't seem to find anything on the net about Ruger and any R&D they might be doing. I would really like something from them that is easier to conceal. I have a P89 and it is just not that practical for daily carry. At least not for me. Thanks

Well it's not new, per se', but it's alot newer than the P89. And it's glock-like in nature; hich capacity, polymer framed, available in DAO, blocky looking, etc. I also read that thye are slimmer and more accurate than the alloy Rugers, but I am sure that's subjective. May be a good carry gun for you if you're already a Ruger fan.

Spoke with Ruger engineering several weeks ago and they have discussed the development of a sub compact but decided the political climate as well as many other sub compacts already on the market was sufficient reason not to pursue further.

I bought a Glock 27 after speaking with them and I really like it. I carry my rugers as well as my glock and taurus snubbie. It depends on the temperture and wardrobe of the day

I owned a P-97 for about 5mo, I loved it at first, but I parted with tihs weapon on bad terms. It just was not what I was looking for in the event I needed to defend my life. Read Rugerforum.com and some of the problems with the P97. It may not be a prob with all Ruger Pistols, but it just soured me on Ruger Pistols. Decided my life was worth a GLOCK

I love Ruger Revolvers.

Be safe

IndyGunFreak,

While we all have problems with products, and I with Ruger also, it is better to light a candle than to curse the darkness.
