New Revolver Rigs

Made up a couple of new holsters for my JP Sauer and Sons Western Marshal and my "Bisley" Ruger Security six frankenpistol.
The one for the single action is a modern design OWB that carries flat against the body and secure without much movement, something I don't like about loop holsters.
The one I made for the Ruger security six is a field holster for carrying around the ranch and full protection of the hammer and sights. Very similar to the Heiser and Lawrence holsters. It's got a tight slide loop on the back and not much bouncing around either.

Both done in floral carving.

The best thing about making your own holsters is that you can make types that are not readily available. For instance, for knocking around in the woods, I like a full-flap to protect the gun.

nice looking leather guys... I putz a little in my spare time ( of which I have next to zero )... for a while I was buying worn out traditional holsters & unstitching them to use for patterns, often with quite a few changes to fit other guns...
I also like a full flap for my "knocking around" holsters...

HVR... nice job on the tooling... mine has not progressed to anywhere near that nice yet :o

Nice work HighValley. Just looking at them makes me feel kinda' border country, in an old B&W photo sort of way. Fine grips, specially on the DA
