Hi guys, I just bought my first revolver recently (I'm not new to guns though). It's a blued Rossi 461. I was going to get a Taurus 605 but they were out of stock, but the Rossi was cheaper anyway. I took it out shooting today and everything worked fine, the .357's were pretty fun

Anyway, I'm just trying to figure out how to clean this thing. How do I remove the cylinder so I can scrub it out? I want to oil/grease up the ejector rod because it doesn't move very smoothly, how do I take it apart? And what is the best way to clean the barrel? It's kind of ackward trying to clean a 2" barrel with a 12" cleaning rod.

Also, what is the deal with all the different bullet weights for .38 and .357? There are so many to choose from I don't know what the differences are. Also, is there any problem with non-jacketed lead bullets, on barrel wear? Thanks.

It is weird using the smallest part of a rod to clean a snubbie.I cant help you there. As for the ejector rod,why dont you just push it back with your finger and clean it and lube it that way? Hoppes #9 has always been a favorite cleaner for me and I usually use a synthetic 5w50 motor oil as a gun lube and overall protectant.I prefer to use fmj bullets as the gun tends to not get as filthy as when you use lead stuff.UMC's 130 grain fmj .38spl's are a nice plinking round.
