I just got my gun, Ruger Mark IV 22/45 lite, back from Ruger and they did a great job.
I had to send my Mark IV in for the Safety recall and had they fix my barrel which was coming loose when I cleaned it. It would slide inside the receiver and accuracy was very poor.
I went to the range today and tested it. No compensator and no Volquartsen Sear. The gun came back to me with a 3.5 lb trigger so I wanted to see how it shot as is.
I tested the gun with Blazer ammo because that's what they said they tested it with and if it's good enough for them its good enough for me. Groups were much tighter today. Shooting from a bench at 15 yards I was able to shoot 1 inch groups very easily. The gun also functioned 100%.
When I sent t he gun back I took out my VQ upgrades. I forgot and left out the spring and plunger for the trigger. Ruger sent me back an original and my parts. I had put all parts in a plastic bag instead of putting the gun back together. I left out the grips. Ruger gave me a new set of replacement grips and screws. They also installed a new barrel.
I did put my Tandemkkross Victory Trigger back in so I could adjust the pre-travel. That helped a lot. Other than that I'm going to shoot the gun STOCK. It's now the best Mark series gun I've shot.
