Picked up my new 30.06 today, it's a Remington 700 CDL-SF. Optics will be here this week (Bushnell 4200 elite 3-9x40). Plan to use this for larger game, and possibly elk hunting.

Thanks, it's a quality rifle for sure. I also bought a CZ 527 varmint yesterday as well:

Did the gun shop you bought the 700 at tell you about the $100 Remington Rebate? It started on Aug 1.
If the answer is no, then shame on them. Go to Remington and download the info and coupon.
 
No, they didn't. Thanks for posting that up, I had no idea there was a rebate. I will get it filled out and sent in ASAP
