New purchases in lieu of a S&W?

In lieu of a new S&W I made the plunge on a Star Firestar .45 and NIB Springfield 1911 Gov'ment. I was looking at a Glock tactical but one must grab the deals when they appear eh! Anyone else followed through on an alternate purchase to a S&W?

Yelp. I've decided I am a Taurus fan now eventhough I haven't bought one yet. I am looking for a H-Power right now, which will be purchased with money that would have gone for a new Smith. I even caught myself fondling a Ruger Redhawk at the KC show this past weekend. I have never owned a double action Ruger and thought I never would. However my attitude for handguns has changed drasticaly since the "deal with the devil" by Smith. Although I still will look for and buy used examples.

Yes I guess I just did that when I bought my
Baby Eagle. I was saving up to bid on the new Schofield, which I really wanted. I won't contribute to the Klintonese Unamerican Extortion Ring.
I will however,like Gunslinger not refuse a good used pre-Klinton S&W. :)

Happy Shooting :)

i was a smith and wesson stocking dealer for years.it took 5 faxes to smith to have my name removed from thier list of stocking dealers but they finally saw the light.i encourage everyone to call their dealers on the list and demand (nicely)that they remove their names also. www.smith-wesson.com
