Today, i bought another H&K pistol,

It is a variant #1 - compact - 357sig.

This is going to be my main ccw gun, i'm selling my Sig 229 & my Glock M-20.

I'm having George Stringer install a set of Novack Nite sites on my Para P-14ltd, which will go back to my duty weapon.

I;ve owned a H&K previous to this [variant #1 in 45acp] and really loved this weapon, overall i would say its fit everything i need in a handgun. When i recieve this weapon, i'll do some testing, chronograph factory loadings, accuracy, realiability, and report back. If its anything like the other H&K i owned i'm going to love it.

Congratulations! Variant 1 is the only way to go, IMO. I don't have experince with this particular pistol, but I can tell you what it is like to be near one going off at the range.

I think you'll really like it. I have an H&K compact in .45 Variant 1 that I really like a lot. I'm thinking of swapping out the bobbed hammer for a regular hammer.

I'll need to add some night sights as well (most likely Novaks) and it will be perfect for me.

Let us know how it shoots. I'd be interested in hearing how the .357 shoots.
