New PPK in U.S.

I heard that a PPK is going to be produced soon, perhaps under the license of S&W here in the U.S.
Does anyone know:
a. Caliber 380 or 32?
b. any improvements over the 1930 design?
c. where is it being manufactured?; previously the American PPKs were made in Alabama
d. S&W still being boycotted? I read that the English owned/controlled company was now in the hands of a company in AZ.
e. expected date of availability

I have fired several American PPKs; none as well made or as reliable as my German manufactured 32 PPK (1968)

The previous American PPK was made at Ranger Arms in Alabama, but I would expect S&W to move production to Mass. since all the other guns they make are made there. The only new thing that I have heard was that they would offer a lightweight PPK (the first in the U.S. since 1968) and that it would be a .380. Never done in a lightweight before. The frame would be the new scandium material that S&W is using for the .357 mag J-frames.

I understand thet S&W will be making the PPK along with the Walther labeled 99 and the 22.

The new lightweight PPK is supposed to be about the same weight as the SiG 232 alloy framed 380. I just wish they'd do something to keep the slide from tearing up the web of my hand ;):(

My ppk scar is just about healed. It has only been about 3 weeks, and I am glad I sold that thing.

Hope you like yours, but mine bit me once to often!
