New Performance Center 629 Question

Greetings,
I just purchased a NIB S&W Performance Center 629 with a 2 5/8" barrel and unfluted cylinder called a "Light Hunter." You can see a pic of it here http://matrix.dumpshock.com/raygun/firearms/pistol/sw_629pc.html
Can anyone tell me if this is a Scandium, or Aluminum, or Stainless steel frame? Is the cylinder Titanium? Finally, does it have a stainless steel barrel liner, or is this just deeply recessed rifling?

Thanks for the info,

AFAIK it's stainless steel. If you don't mind me asking, but why would you want a 44 magnum with such a short pipe? That's gonna hurt to shoot with anything approaching a warm load and the blast will be intense. Just doesn't look like fun to shoot.

Greetings mobias,
I like to carry short barreled .44 mags. You know the saying, "Carried Much, Shot Little."

Greetings again,
Thanks for the info. I too initially thought it was all stainless, but the gun just seems to weigh SO much less than my 3" fluted 629 that I had to ask.

Greetings Marshall-1,
I am in the process of contacting the Performance Center to determine just how many were produced. I believe they are not currently in production, and the one I bought (privately) was the only one I have ever seen for sale.
I will post my findings tomoorw, after I talk to the PC.
