New Paterson

I just received my latest Paterson acquistion. I know a lot of you guys are either ambivalent about, or do not care for, Patersons, but not I. They are my favorite gun by a long shot.

I found this jewel on a bulletin board website a couple of weeks ago and after a little back and forth we reached an agreement. It is a 1997 Pietta with a silver or nickel grip strap and frame. The rest of the gun is a rich blue and spotless. No signs of use whatsoever. The previous owner had inherited it and did not know much about it's history

That is SWEEEET!!!

I have a plain-Jane version, but I like your set a lot. I have to admit that the Paterson isn't my favorite gun to shoot, but I would definitely put that set on display in my office.

Shooting a Patterson is an act of love.

Taking a pair of Pattersons to a match is like driving a model T Ford on a 200 mile weekend trip, or owning a British vehicle that needs service constantly.

If you enjoy it, you enjoy it.

Thanks for the comments. As I said I am hooked on these guns. Here is my computer desktop picture. Both are my guns. I don't shoot em with anything other than my camera.

Very nice cased set. The Paterson is probably the most modified revolver of all the Colt cap and ball models. One could own dozens with no two alike.

Madcratebuilder.. could you expand more on the Paterson being highly modified Comment. Do you mean Repros???, Originals???, And the $64 question why is that So??? And how are they Modified????

By the way I am not a big Indian Art fan, But I love that Holster..

Patterson

I love the looks of the Patterson, but never having handled one, I always wondered about the pop out trigger. How sturdy is it, and does it feel similar to the trigger pull, on like say, an 1860 for example ?

I notice Mike (duelist1954's) has a real nice video on Utube about your Paterson made Pietta jlb43. Otherwise you have a very unique weapon there. Thanks for sharing those Pix with everyone.

madcratebuilder: very nice. Are all reproductions? I have a suspicion about that Black griped Paterson though. (looks like it could be a real McCoy one)
