New NYPD P226....."E26-9-SP"

Latest issue of Gun World has the article by Massad Ayoob. Its the new DAO 226 just approved again for NYPD issue. Its of course the stainless slide with Nitron finish, and alloy frame in 9mm. But the grip screws, mag release, trigger, takedown lever, hammer and slide release are electroless nickle. Very sweet lookin'!
He goes into a little history with the 226 and the NYPD also. NYPD considered it the BMW of the pistols approved for officers.
Does anyone know of these? Are they available for the general public? Really I just want the DA/SA version but I like the look of the electroless nickle small parts with the blued finish.

So that standard thumb-break holsters can be used. The hammer itself doesn't have the SA sear catch.
