I like my SA Hellcat with the RMSc optic so much, I decided to get a Sig P229 with Romeo1 optic for the nightstand house gun.

Round in the chamber, hammer down. Pick up, aim, pull trigger, bang. We have no children in the home

I'm not an expert, but most would recommend fully loaded (safety on, if there is one) and either in your holster or a quick access safe.
