Ran across an interesting development for those who like mouseguns, and like cartridge experiments.
Seems North American Arms is toying with a .32ACP necked down to .25, and a .380ACP necked down to .32
I'm not sure the advantage is worth the trouble, but it is kind of a nifty idea. If nothing else, to have a "high-speed" quarter-bore would be a novelty.
Bottleneck rounds seem to be coming into vogue, what with the 400 Cor-Bon and .357 Sig, and I'm sure many other minor pet projects. Was the .30 Mauser the last truly successful bottleneck pistol cartridge?
Just thought it was worth noting, there's a writeup at www.naaminis.com in the Feb 2002 "Sandy's Soapbox".
