We all know that smaller handgun calibers do not perform as well as their bigger full-size brothers, relatively speaking. But may of us choose to carry them anyway due to the convenience of their size and weight. Until recently, for example, there really wasn't ammo in say .380 that performed well enough to make us comfortable enough for us to carry with full confidence.
I believe, like the Readers at The Truth About Guns do, that the Lehigh Defense Xtreme Defense Ammo solved that problem when they introduced a 380 round that penetrated 14 inches and created a wound cavity larger than 2".
Well, now they have done it again. I just saw some *details that are going to blow people away, especially those that have even smaller handguns than 380.. It will be released this month at SHOT.
A teaser, made especially easy with Google.. "VA-111 Shkval"
* I am a freelance contractor that maintains the website for Lehigh Defense, and happen to be a gun and ammo nerd too
** Nobody is suggesting a .32 or .380 is "good enough" for you, so if you are one of those that carries a 44 Magnum, good for you, your feedback to this thread is probably limited.
