I bought a new M&P 2.0, 40 S&W at "Shooters World" in Tampa yesterday. They were asking $579.99 for it and I managed to get it for $549.99, a bargain I thought.

Anyway on my way home, I stopped in Clearwater at "Shoot Straight" just because it was on my way. Anyway, they had all their 2.0s on sale for $449.99. Go figure! $100.00 cheaper for the same handgun!!!

Today I went to the range with my new 2.0 and shot over 200 rounds. It performed perfectly shooting my handloads and I'm very happy with my purchase! It's an awesome handgun and I'm happy, except for the price I paid. By the way the sale is gong on until June 30th.

The M2.0s have been going for $459 here since introduction near as I can tell. Great deal! As always, there are plenty of dealers who are happy to charge more. You still got a break off of retail at least.

We seem to be on the flip side of 8 years of panic buying and Hillary fear. As a buyer this is nice but hopefully it won't cause too much disruption for the industry.

Looking at the 5" barrel M2.0 but in 9mm. I haven't asked my LGS for a price yet, but I'm glad to hear they can be had for under $500.

Glad to hear you're pleased, that makes me doubly excited. Did you get the black or FDE?

I got a 4.25" 9mm first and liked it enough to go for the 5" FDE .40 as well.

Yes, I'm very happy with both pistols at this point. My gun club membership needs renewed and this has slowed down further testing. Both guns have been 100% reliable and very easy on the brass. I don't think I've seen a significant ding in a case yet. As a reloader, this is appreciated.

Velocities have been excellent with handloads. I haven't really gotten to serious accuracy testing yet. I don't expect laser like groups but imagine that with handloads, they should perform in the 3" range at 25 yd as M&Ps generally have. The U.S. name brand budget factory range ammo I've shot thru both have given really poor chronographed consistency and predictably bad groups. The .40 was especially poor. Every handload I've shot has been far more consistant but I haven't seriously put them on a target yet.

I picked up one at a local gun show in 9mm for 439.00. I told a friend about it and he found the same dealer at the next show and bought one for the same price. Walking around the show you could find them anywhere from the 439.00 to 579.00.....just shows you who to deal with at the next show. Shoots just great !!

bluewater, I am a Clearwater Beach resident and have visited both establishments. Thanks for the info. I'll go to Shoot Straight and check out their selection.
