I've been getting into some longer range shooting, and wanted just some BASIC info about terminology, measurements, constants, and how it all fit together. I scowered the internet and found a very useful site containing some "bare-bones" information that has really helped me to get oriented into this direction. Kind of like the "starting blocks" analogy.
Anyway, I thought I'd share it, as many others have been of the "likewise" oppinion on my last few threads.
The website is:
http://demigodllc.com/articles/practical-long-range-rifle-shooting-equipment/
and the articles are written by a Zak Smith. Aside from a few distracting typo's the articles are quite well-written and easy to follow; containing a significant amount of useful information.
Any critiques, thoughts, or supplemental information anyone would like to contribute would be greatly appreciated. Like I said, I am just starting out into the field of Long Range Marksmanship. I'm currently in purchase mode for Stevens 200 in .223 to learn some basics before probably upgrading to a Remington 700 platform in .308 or .30-06.
Boy is it fun to reach out and touch things like that.
