This Spring I was offered this barreled Carcano action, inespensive only $ 40.
This rifle from 1st WW was modified and imported to Canada to be sold by the T.Eaton's company during the 30s.
The modification consisted in rebarreling with a Mannlicher Schoenouer barrel (6.5x54mm) since at the time brass for carcano was unavailable, the new barrel was screw in the 3" stump of the original barrel, also a new double set trigger group was intalled.
I completed the project this month, found clips, brass and die, also reloaded some cartridges but to date unable to find time to see if is a shooter....!!
