Hey everybody,
New member here, have been at THR for a while tho.
Just bought a new S&W Chief's Special in 45ACP.
Was looking for any advice concerning a new holster.
I think i would need a good IWB and something like a belt slide OWB.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Wes

Congratulations on your SW. I have a number of SW 3rd generation pistols but do not own a CS-45. Sometimes it can be hard to find holsters for some of the SW autos. I have had good luck with Fist holsters at www.fist-inc.com and Don Hume at www.donhume.com for SW holsters. I just checked their websites and both have offerings for your pistol. Take a look at their websites and see if anything looks good to you. Good luck.

Hey Grunt,

I would recommend AJK ConcealCo (concealco.com). For IWB holsters they're priced in the middle - not as cheap as the mass-produced stuff, but about half what you'd shell out for a Milt Sparks. It's not the perfect holster - particularly, I'd like smaller buttons - but I think it's a good design for concealment on the whole. My first one was for a full-size 1911; my second was for a Sig 239. If the latest one is indicative of their current production, they've changed to a harder molded leather. I particularly like them for the retention; I've had a couple holsters (a Kramer for the 239, in particular) that over-retain and are almost impossible to draw from when under a tight belt. These are "just right" IMO.

I know some gentlemen out at 29 Palms - Semper Fi and good luck finding a decent holster.
