I am beginning to like this guy even though he is not pro-gun. Love that last paragraph.

New Lazio Campaign Strategy has Enraged Hillary Clinton

Appearing for the first time in Upstate New York, Rick Lazio, Republican candidate for Senate, today launched a "Where's Hillary?" or a "Press Hide and Seek" contest to see who amongst the esteemed members of the assembled NY press corps (national press not eligible) can actually get to interview her.

To the smiles of the street wise reporters he asked retorically, "Since Mrs. Clinton just doesn't do press conferences, where is she hiding? Is she afraid to do what I have been doing since my announcement? Why won't she face tough questioning?"

He called her the puppet meister, and showed pictures of her pulling the strings on Ickes and other surrogates who Lazio claimed are doing her dirty work. "Are they the ones running for Senator?", he asked to the delight of the cheering partisan crowd.

Close to the end of this campaign stop, Lazio showed pictures of Hillary morphing into Ickes and into others to the refrain: "I know you are out there, where are you?"

Campaign workers passed out very popular T-shirts with "Hillary Clinton's Legacy" printed on the front and a yellow streak top to bottom on the back.

The New World Order has a Third Reich odor.

There is a political fact of life in NY that, unfortunately, we must live with. There are two million more democrats than republicans. Not that either of these two sides aren't racing one another to see who can shred the Constitution that fastest but it is nearly impossible for anyone of the republican stripe to be conservative and be electable state wide. D'Amato was probably the last one I can recall.

At this point, Lazio is a more attractive republican candidate than Giuliani by a whisker or two. Rudy would have been the worst 'hold my nose' vote I would have ever have had to make.

The biggest question of the campaign is indeed if Hillary can run and never be asked to answer any hard questions from the press.

So far, she's not been touched.

Reporters -- sniveling left-wing suck-ups.

I don't know if Lazio can win, but it looks like he'll make this a fun race to watch. Hillary deserves a good roasting, and perhaps Rep. Lazio is the right short order cook for this affair ... ;)

Guliani had too many problems of his own to really go after Billary. Lazio is no fan of ours but at least he's not the Anti-Christ (I swear, that's who Billary is.)

A new Zogby poll just in shows Hillary with 45.8 % and Lazio with 43.8%. This is less than a week after the last poll showed Lazio 20 pts behind.

Whatever he is doing it must be working. I suspect all he has to do is get his mug on TV and in the news and he will overtake her. Hillary has been taking heat about not being accessible to the press, hope she keeps it up!

One reason to vote in the next Presidential election.

It's the Supreme Court, Stupid!

Longshot,

Not only can't I wait to see Hitlery lose, but I want it to happen against a backdrop of Algore losing at the same time.

Sweet it will be, if we can just hang on...

Remember this: the harder they thrash and scream, the more desperate they are...

Albore, the Democrap's Dan Quayle. (educated, but STILL dumb as dirt about the things that REALLY matter to freedom). And remember this... A vote for a third party candidate in THIS ELECTION is a vote for Gore. Pure & simple. You want Gore packing the Supreme Court?

Listen to Dennis . All the Bozos that cast a vote for Perot helped to put Klinton into the White House . If you want to protest that's good but don't waste your vote AND then complain . Green Party , Libraterian etc. will just screw things up for America . Vote for Bush and we'll work out the small stuff later .

Even though I'm a libertarian, I'll hold my nose, cross my fingers and vote for George W. Bush ... mainly because of the Supreme Court implications.

But, this is the last time. I'm tired of being screwed by Republicans, and I'm sure that is a sentiment commonly shared on this board.

All of you good folks make some very good points--but do keep in mind ONE vital question:

--Can anyone stand the idea of "Hillareah! being 'in our face' for ( shudder! ) Six more years?"

--think it over very, very carefully...

Johnr, you're assuming that Hillary! is going to serve her full six years, rather than interrupting her Senate career to run for president. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome President Hillary Rodham Clinton and Vice President Charles E. Schumer.

Think about that long and hard.

If you are being screwed by Republicans than you will be F****D by the Democraps . At least when you get screwed there's a chance of a kiss .
With Republicans they say " You people play nicely while we schmooze with big business " The Democraps say " Wait a minute and we will tell you HOW and WHAT to play as soon as we are done raping big business."
Politics is a game for "insiders" . The ONLY way to win is ( duh) to be on the inside . Get involved or do as you're told!!
Third parties have no business screwing up national elections until they prove to be popular in MANY smaller elections . When your party can boast at least 15 Governors then you can come to the dance . Until then you are like the new bar owner that must weed out the riff raff and scum that have been kicked out of every other bar . Take a look at the dirt bags that Hitler started with . He soon cleaned them out and became the Boss .
The Third party must earn the right to be considered as serious opposition . So far the Third Party system has only Jesse Ventura to point to as far as accomplishments go . He is amusing but far from the person that I want to have their finger "on the button" .

To use the title of a really, really bad song from a really, really overrated band from the 60s, "Imagine..."

Imagine if all gun owners voted. No. Imagine if just _half_ of all gun owners voted. That's all it would take to deny the Democrats the White House and Congress for the next century.

If the Dems win in November, I honestly believe that we should let our fellows who did not vote know that everything bad that subsequently happens to them will be ENTIRELY THEIR FAULT.

We had a pro-gun rally here in the PRM earlier this month. Not many showed up. Why? First day of turkey season. The hunters thought it more important to spend one day hunting than to show how they feel about the gun-grabbers. Sickening.

Woodit, you're 100% correct. We, as gun owners, could pick _anybody_ we wanted to be president. But, go to the Gallup Poll at http://www.gallup.com/poll/releases/pr000519.asp and see that 50% of those who own guns would be more likely to vote for a candidate who favors stricter gun control. We have met the enemy and he is us.

BTW, I don't know how old you are, but that band from the sixties was _not_ overrated. At least not until Lennon discovered Lenin.
'Course, I always favored the Stones.
