I came across this article that describes the arrest and sentencing of Coolio, a rap "artist". If the CA legislature thinks guns are the problem, maybe they need to look at the court system and the way current laws are enforced.

But better Lawndale than Düsseldorf: the rapper--a Grammy winner for his "Gangsta's Paradise" tune--was sentenced to six months' probation and fined $17,000 in Germany last December for shoplifting.[/quote]

By the way, Coolio also has a 1994 conviction for carrying a concealed firearm.
